A New Perspective on Medieval Leprosy. is an incredibly interesting blog post on leprosy in the Middle Ages from a young academic who makes some observations on recent archaeology at a leper hospital in England. It seems that lepers may not have been quite as stigmatized as we’ve been led to believe. This view of lepers in the Middle Ages might be a Victorian invention.
